Pricing
Sylvia charges per successful request. There are no subscriptions and no
monthly fees. You add credits with crypto and spend them as you go. If a
request fails, you do not pay for it.
1. Rates
| What | Cost |
|---|---|
| Standard request | $0.0005 per successful request |
| Live stream | $0.05 per request |
| Search | $0.05 per request |
A standard request covers most endpoints. That includes post listings,
subreddit and user data, single posts, and bulk lookups. At $0.0005 per call,
1,000 requests cost $0.50.
Live streams and search cost more because they are more expensive to serve.
Live streams are the /comments/live and /r/{sub}/comments/live endpoints.
Search is the /search endpoint.
2. Free credit
Every new account starts with $0.50 of free credit. That is about 1,000
standard requests. You need no card and no KYC to start.
3. How billing works
You pay only for requests that succeed with a 200 response. Failed requests
cost nothing. That includes 4xx errors, 5xx errors, rate limits, and timeouts.
You add credits with a crypto deposit through our payment processor. You can
pay with a wide range of coins, including USDT, USDC, BTC, ETH, BNB, XRP, LTC,
SOL, DOGE, and ADA. The full list appears on the checkout page. The coin is
chosen at checkout.
There is no auto-renewal and no minimum. You add credit when you want more.
4. Tiers
Tiers unlock with cumulative funding. Rate limits apply per API key on the
server.
| Tier | Requests per minute | How to unlock |
|---|---|---|
| Free | 480 | Sign up |
| Strela | 1,200 | $50 cumulative funding |
| Svetka | 2,400 | $200 cumulative funding |
| Enterprise | 3,600 | $500 cumulative funding |
Enterprise adds a 99.9% SLA and dedicated infrastructure.
5. Response formats by tier
Formats control the shape of the response. Most are available on every tier.
| Tier | Formats |
|---|---|
| Free | raw JSON, reddit, markdown, 1 custom template |
| Strela | Adds csv and minimal, 5 custom templates |
| Svetka | Adds ndjson, unlimited templates |
| Enterprise | All formats |
You can set a default format or pick one per request with the format query
parameter.
